‘Pushpa 2’ has become a blockbuster and broke several records within a few days of its release. The movie has been receiving a lot of love from the audience but has also got involved in some controversies. On December 4, a woman passed away due to stampede at the Sandhya theatres in Hyderabad. Her child also suffered some injuries.
Telangana cinematography minister Komatiredyy Venkata Reddy has reportedly decided to ban the benefit shows for films in the state. As per a report by South First, he said, “From now on, no benefit shows will be allowed in the state. If a hero wants to visit a theatre, they can go with their security and get permission from the government first.”
Dy Commissioner of Police, Central Zone, Hyderabad, said, “A case has been booked Under Section 105,118(1) r/w 3(5) BNS act in Chikkadpally Police Station based on the complaint of the family members of the deceased person and is being investigated. Stringent action as per law will be taken against all the persons responsible for the chaotic situation inside the theatre leading to the death of a person and injury to others.”

Earlier, an unidentified person reportedly sprayed a substance during the screening of the film at Bandra’s Galaxy Cinema. It caused coughing, throat irritation, and vomiting for some people, who watched the film in that theatre.
Apart from All Arjun, the movie also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles. Along with its original Telugu version, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ has also been released in the dubbed versions of Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Directed by Sukumar, it is produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
