Punjabi Comedian And ‘Carry On Jatta’ Actor Jaswinder Bhalla Passes Away At 65

Punjabi actor and comedian Jaswinder Bhalla, best known for his wit and comic roles, passed away at 65 in Mohali after a prolonged illness.

Renowned comedian and veteran Punjabi actor Jaswinder Bhalla passed away on Tuesday morning at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, after a prolonged illness. He was 65 years old.

Jaswinder Bhalla was a much loved name in Punjabi cinema. With his sharp humor, funny timing, and witty dialogues, he made people laugh for decades. His characters not only entertained audiences but also reflected the simplicity and humor of everyday life.

He starred in several successful films, including Carry On Jatta, Jind Jaan, Band Baaje, and Gaddi Chalti Hai Chhalaang Maar Ke, each performance earning him immense love and admiration. His comedy was enjoyed by all age groups, making him one of Punjab’s most popular entertainers.

Born on May 4, 1960, in Doraha, Ludhiana, Bhalla first worked as a professor before following his passion for comedy. He started his career in 1988 with Chhankata 88 and quickly became a well known comedian. Later, he entered films with Dulla Bhatti and went on to become one of the most versatile and respected actors in Punjabi cinema.

His last rites will be performed on August 23 at 12 noon at the Balangi crematorium in Mohali.
