New Delhi: Mani Ratnam’s directorial Ponniyin Selvan I is a massive hit. The makers have unveiled a new song titled, Chola Chola on October 14. The movie earned Rs 350 crore at the worldwide box office along with performing brilliantly in the theatres for the last nine days.
Coming to the song Chola Chola, it is a powerful number featuring Chiyaan Vikram. The lively number is taken to a whole next level with the actor’s contagious energy. The song has been crooned by Sathya Prakash, in collaboration with VM Mahalingam and Nakul Abhyankar, while the lyrics have been penned by Ilango Krishnan.

‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’ stars Chiyan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles. Talking about the Hindi collection of this film doing exceptionally well at the worldwide box office, its collection stood at Rs 1.50 crores on day 9.

PSI overall collection
According to reports, the total Hindi collection of the film has reached Rs 16.50 crores. At the same time, the world collection has become Rs 300 crore, and with this, the film has touched Rs 200 crore in India as well.
According to trade sources, the Tamil version of the movie has already sold enough tickets for the first day’s box office to total 10 crore. The film’s overall advance booking sales for the first day were over 11 crore thanks to the Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam dub versions, which also contributed to advance booking sales of over 1 crore. When Kamal Haasan’s film Vikram debuted in June, advance booking sales on the first day reached 15.30 crore. The movie might reach this number with virtually the entire Thursday still available for PS1.
