New Delhi: After carving out a niche in Bollywood, global icon Priyanka Chopra has been mesmerising people around the world with her phenomenal acting abilities. There has been no stopping the multifaceted actress since her debut with Quantico. Priyanka, who has received glowing reviews for her latest series, Citadel, described a moment when she underwent nose surgery that went disastrously wrong.
Priyanka Chopra reveals her depression days
After winning the Miss World 2000 beauty pageant, the actress returned to India and sought to see a doctor because she was having problems breathing and had a “lingering head cold.” However, the actress had no idea that the surgery would become a ‘dark phase’ in her life. The actress made a surprising disclosure on The Howard Stern Show, saying she slipped into ‘severe melancholy’ after the procedure went wrong.
She said, “This thing happened, and my face looks completely different, and I went into a deep, deep depression… it (her acting career) was over before it started (as she was fired from three different movies after the fact). I was terrified of that, but he (her dad) was like, ‘I will be in the room with you’.”
