Priyanka Chopra has worked in many blockbuster movies in her career, but her role in ‘Kaminey’ is truly a memorable one. She played the role of Sweety Shekhar Bhope in the film and impressed everyone with her stellar performance. As ‘Kaminey’ completed 16 years, Priyanka penned a sweet note for the team and praised everyone.
Talking about how she bagged ‘Kaminey’, Priyanka wrote, “Sweety Bhope. I was filming for Dostana in Miami, Florida with @tarun_mansukhani directing and @bachchan and @thejohnabraham starring. One cool evening after we wrapped shoot , I saw a missed call from Vishal Bhardwaj. What?? I had wanted to work with him forever and never thought he would cast me because of my “commercial“ image at the time.”
She added, “He said he’d like to come see me, and he did. To Miami. I remember him telling me the story and I said, “Well, she has approximately 8 scenes.” And he said, “With us working on it, it will end up being so much more. Trust me.” And I did.”

Praising the team, Priyanka further wrote, “#Kaminey remains a turning point in my career. Shahid Kapoor played a dual role and was seen as Charlie and Guddu. The movie received 10 nominations at the 55th Filmfare Awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress and many more. It won the Best Special Effects.
The movie focuses on a rivalry between a pair of twins over the course of a single day and is set against the backdrop of the Mumbai underworld.
