They say, ‘You can take an Indian out of India, but you can never take India out of an Indian’, and international icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas embodies this phrase. She moved to Los Angeles to pursue a Hollywood career, and settled there following her marriage to singer Nick Jonas. With a loving husband, daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, and a successful career, Priyanka’s life is perfect, though far from her home country, India. But no matter the distance, she ensures her culture and traditions remain integral to her life.
The actor is often seen sharing pictures of her festive celebrations, latest one being the one from Dhanteras. She shared a picture where she is holding Nick and Malti’s hand. What’s interesting in the picture was the bright coloured bangles in Malti’s hand, which looked absolutely beautiful. Alongside, she wrote, “Happy Dhanteras To All Celebrating.”
Fans are appreciating and loving Priyanka all the more for not letting go of her cultural roots. Not just that, she also ensure that Malti learns about her parent’s country, the language, the little traditions and grow up to love it all.
A day before, Priyanka had shared a series of pictures from her recent vacation with family. In one of the slides, Malti could be heard trying to speak in Hindi. In the video, Malti starts with “In Hindi…” to which Nick curiously asked, “In Hindi… what?” She then lovingly replied, “In Hindi, theek hoon (I am okay).”
