New Delhi: Prithviraj Sukumaran who sustained a ligament injury while shooting for his upcoming film Vilayath Buddha, posted a health update on his Instagram handle.

Taking to his Instagram handle, the actor said experts have advised him to rest and he is on the road to recovery.

His post reads: “I had an accident while shooting an action sequence on ‘Vilayath Buddha’. Fortunately, I’m in the hands of experts who performed keyhole surgery and I’m now recouping. It’s rest and physiotherapy ahead for a couple of months.”

He added, “…and I promise to fight through the pain and recover fully and get back into action asap. Thank you to all those who reached out and expressed concern and love.”

Prithviraj Sukumaran is known for films like “Ayyappanum Koshiyum”, “Pokkiri Raja”, “Kuruthi”, and “Lucifer.”

For the uninitiated, Prithviraj Sukumaran is an Indian actor, director, producer and playback singer, primarily working in Malayalam cinema.

He acted in more than 100 films and received several awards including a National Film Award, three Kerala State Film Awards, a Tamil Nadu State Film Award and a Filmfare Awards South.
