Ponniyin Selvan 2 box office collection Day 6: Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 2 has been playing a great deal in the cinemas since its release but during the weekdays, the film saw a significant drop in receipts.
However, it is still running at the Indian Box Office for more than seven crores, and that sums up to an impressive sum for a budget film. According to trade reports, by the end of this week, Ponniyin Selvan 2 is likely to enter the global market with a value of Rs 250 crores.
Box Office Collection
On April 28th, Ponniyin Selvan 2 made it to the screens amid huge expectations. The film has been released in five different Indian languages, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. During the last two days, the film has been experiencing a decline in collections. However, the film still managed to earn over Rs 7 crore at the domestic box office. The film is estimated to have earned approximately Rs 8 crore nett in India on its sixth day of release on May 3.
In India, it brings the six consecutive days’ aggregate collection to Rs 122.25 crore. While the Tamil version of the film has been received with great enthusiasm around the world, the other versions of the film have registered a low number of collections.

About the Film
Ponniyin Selvan is Aishwarya and Vikram’s second collaboration, following their acclaimed 2010 film Raavan. Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Ashwin Kakumanu, Mohan Raman, Sarathkumar and Parthiban are part of the supporting cast.
Composer AR Rahman, editor Sreekar Prasad and cinematographer Ravi Varman are part of the technical staff.
