Ponniyin Selvan 2 box office collection Day 5: Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: Part Two enjoys all the attention that comes with it. The film’s approaching a mark of 250 crores worldwide within five days. It is indeed a good sign for the film’s performance in front of audiences. Despite a drop in Mondays, the historical drama continues to show strong box office numbers. As per trade reports, in just five days, the film has already joined the Rs 100 crore (nett) club in India and collected over Rs 10 crore on Tuesday, May 2.
Box Office Collection
The movie has been running in theatres for over five days now. The film is now approaching Rs 250 crore worldwide and hoping to achieve the milestone by the end of this week. As per early estimates, the film has earned Rs 11 crore (nett) in India. This brings the national box office collection to a total of 114.74 crores.
Also, Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2’s doing very well on the American market. In five days, it has earned over $3.5 million (Rs 28 crore approximately).

About the Film
Ponniyin Selvan is Aishwarya and Vikram’s second collaboration, following their acclaimed 2010 film Raavan. Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Ashwin Kakumanu, Mohan Raman, Sarathkumar and Parthiban are part of the supporting cast.
Composer AR Rahman, editor Sreekar Prasad and cinematographer Ravi Varman are part of the technical staff.
