Ponniyin Selvan 2 box office collection Day 3: Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2 by director Mani Ratnam is now dominating the global box office. The movie exceeded Rs 150 crore globally in barely three days. The movie is doing exceptionally well at the foreign box office in addition to the home box office. At this pace, Lyca Productions will be able to turn a profit on the movie. However, both critics and viewers have had conflicting opinions about the movie.

On April 28, the film debuted in theatres to much anticipation. The movie was released across all of India in five different languages: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
The film made Rs 150 crore worldwide in just three days, claims trade expert Ramesh Bala. It will be interesting to see how the movie performs during the workweek.

About the Film
Ponniyin Selvan is Aishwarya and Vikram’s second collaboration, following their acclaimed 2010 film Raavan. Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Ashwin Kakumanu, Mohan Raman, Sarathkumar and Parthiban are part of the supporting cast.
Composer AR Rahman, editor Sreekar Prasad and cinematographer Ravi Varman are part of the technical staff.
