Ponniyin Selvan 2 box office collection Day 12: The movie saw a steady decline in its collections over the weekdays. It turns out, however, that weekends are a moneyspinner for the film. For producers and owners of cinemas, this film was quite profitable.

On 28 April, Part 2 of Ponniyin Selvan appeared on the screens amidst great expectations. The performances of Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Bachchan, Trisha, Karthik and Jayam Ravi have been appreciated.
By earning more than 300 crores at the box office this week, PS 2 has achieved a new milestone. After comparing the last two days’ collection, the film sees a slight increase in the collection. According to preliminary estimates, the movie made 3.53 crores in India. While the Tamil version is very good, other versions do not give us satisfactory results. The overall collection for India now stands at Rs 158.35 crore, which is 12 days in total.

About the film
Ponniyin Selvan is Aishwarya and Vikram’s second collaboration, following their acclaimed 2010 film Raavan. Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Ashwin Kakumanu, Mohan Raman, Sarathkumar and Parthiban are part of the supporting cast.
Composer AR Rahman, editor Sreekar Prasad and cinematographer Ravi Varman are part of the technical staff.
