Ponniyin Selvan 2 box office collection Day 10: Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2 by director Mani Ratnam is having a successful second week at the box office. The movie played in theatres for ten days and earned more than Rs 150 crore (net) there. The historical drama gained pace over the weekend and scored strong ratings. This is excellent news for the Ponniyin Selvan 2 team. The movie will probably remain in theatres for a few more weeks if things keep up.
Box office collection
The movie is doing well in Tamil, but it has received only tepid reviews in other languages. According to preliminary estimates, the film brought in close to Rs 10 crore (nett) in India. This brings the domestic box office’s 10-day total to Rs 152.80 crore (nett).
Ponniyin Selvan’s Kannada adaptation made Rs 25.4 lakh in 10 days. It is reportedly the most successful Kannada-dubbed movie so far in 2023.

About the film
Ponniyin Selvan is Aishwarya and Vikram’s second collaboration, following their acclaimed 2010 film Raavan. Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Ashwin Kakumanu, Mohan Raman, Sarathkumar and Parthiban are part of the supporting cast.
Composer AR Rahman, editor Sreekar Prasad and cinematographer Ravi Varman are part of the technical staff.
