Pippa teaser out: The teaser of Pippa starring Ishaan Khatter was dropped by the movie’s producers on the occasion of India’s 75th anniversary of its independence. The movie takes references from 1971 India-Pakistan conflict. Pippa is a story about three siblings against the backdrop of the action-packed 48-hour Battle of Garibpur, which was fought on the eastern front of India during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971.
Ishaan Khatter shared the official teaser of Pippa on his Instagram handle. The caption to his post read, “PIPPA in cinemas December 2nd, 2022. On the momentous occasion of our country’s 75th Independence Day – presenting a glimpse from a film we’ve collectively put our heart, gut and soul into. May our soil, our people and our culture be blessed always. It’s been an honour to represent the valour and bravery of our defence forces More to come. (sic).”
Meanwhile, producer Ronnie Screwvala spoke about his film, Pippa. “We are just beginning to tell the stories of our war hero’s and of India’s many strategic moves- in war and peace – over the last 75 years of our Independence – that have made us now a world power. PIPPA set in 1971 against the backdrop of one of the largest refugee migrations in modern history that then led to the liberation and formation of a Country is a story that must be told and we can’t wait to unravel the scale of this epic movie to audiences world-wide on 2nd December 2022,” he said.
Aside from Ishaan Khatter, the film also stars Priyanshu Painyuli, Mrunal Thakur and Soni Razdan.
