New Delhi: Katrina Kaif starrer Phone Bhoot opened up with a decent amount Rs. 2 cr nett on its first day. This is definitely a lower number as compared to other previously released films. Meanwhile, Phone Bhoot also saw a major clash with Janhvi Kapoor’s Mili and Sonakshi Sinha’s Double XL.
On it’s second day, the film which also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khattar, saw a yet lower number. The horror-comedy saw a low 25 percent growth on its second day, as it collected Rs. 2.5 cr nett on day 2. Thus the total domestic collection now stands at a total of Rs. 4.5 cr nett.
If the occupancy percentages are to be seen, Phone Bhoot could only make 10-12 percent of occupancy on the first day, while the percent is little higher on its second day. It was an overall 13.20 per cent Hindi occupancy on Saturday.
Going by this trend, it can be said that, the Gurmmeet Singh-directorial might may just do a little over Rs. 10 cr nett in its first week, which is quite disappointing.
