DC Universe has revived itself with the grand success of James Gunn’s ‘Superman’. It has now achieved another milestone with ‘Peacemaker Season 2’, and fans are now waiting to know if there will be a third season. Starring John Cena in the titular role, the series focuses on jingoistic vigilante Chris Smith, who finds an alternate dimension where his father and brother are still alive and the family together is a highly regarded superhero team.
James Gunn, who has directed a few episodes of ‘Peacemaker Season 2’ and also wrote it, revealed whether there will be a third season or not. While speaking to Deadline about ‘Peacemaker Season 3’, he said, “You’re gonna find out more in episode 8 because it’s not necessarily that.”
“Some of these characters will continue, but also, it’s not exactly ‘Peacemaker Season 3’. I’m not ruling it out. You’ll see (episode) 8 and maybe you’ll find out a little bit more,” he added.
About the series:
The second season also stars Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, Frank Grillo, and Robert Patrick. It is set after the events of ‘Superman’. John Cena plays Peacemaker, aka Chris Smith, who believes in achieving peace. James Gunn is yet to officially announce if there will be a Peacemaker Season 3 or not.
Meanwhile, after the ending, James Gunn shared a heartfelt post for the cast of Peacemaker in which he is seen posing with them. He wrote, “This photo hangs in my home. Making Season 2 of #Peacemaker has been the highlight of my creative life and it wouldn’t be that way with each of these folks who I truly love. Haven’t watched it? Watch it now on @HBOMax.”
In India, Peacemaker Season 2 is available to watch on JioHotstar.
