YouTuber Payal Gaming became a victim of the misuse of AI after her deep fake videos were circulated online. Her rumoured boyfriend, Parv Singh, who is also a gamer, supported her in these tough times. Recently, Payal shared a post on Instagram, where she confirmed that the woman in the video is not her.
Parv upvoted the post and also re-shared it on his Instagram post. In her post, Payal showed the certificate from Maharastra’s cyber cell that confirms she is not the individual in the viral video. She wrote, “Maharashtra Cyber has officially issued a certificate conclusively establishing that I am NOT the individual in the viral video. Their forensic investigation has confirmed that the content in circulation was created by maliciously morphing my photographs with the deliberate intent to defame and damage my reputation. This conclusion has been reached using advanced tools and technology available with Maharashtra Cyber. With this official clarification, the matter stands conclusively addressed.”
She added, “Any circulation, sharing, or false allegation associating me with this video now constitutes a criminal offence and will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law. The individuals responsible for this malicious act will be identified and held accountable. No misinformation or intimidation will deter me from the truth. Having witnessed the seriousness, capability and commitment with which this matter is being handled, I have complete faith in the system and in Maharashtra Cyber. Justice will take its rightful course and further details will be addressed through appropriate legal channels.”
Influencer-actress Anjali Arora also supported Payal and penned a note on social media. In 2022, she also faced a similar situation when her private videos were unfortunately circulated online. Even though she maintained that the videos are completely fake, she had to face hate.
Earlier, Payal penned a powerful note on Instagram, calling the incident hurtful and dehumanising.
