YouTuber Payal Gaming became a victim of the misuse of AI after her deep fake videos were circulated online. Social media influencer Anjali Arora, in 2022, also faced a similar situation when her private videos were unfortunately circulated online. Even though she maintained that the videos are completely fake, she had to face hate on social media. Amid the ongoing controversy around Payal Gaming, Anjali recalled her own experience and showed support towards the YouTuber.
Showing support for Payal Gaming and recalling her traumatic experience, she wrote, “Three years ago, I went through the trauma of a fake MMS being circulated using my name. Seeing the same thing happen to Payal Gaming today brings back those painful memories. People don’t realize how damaging their actions are. For them, it’s a minute of entertainment – for us, it becomes years of trauma. Because of such false controversies, I was removed from good projects, and even today I continue to face professional backlash, not because of my work, but because of lies. Even now, I face constant abuse in my comment section – people use filthy language, ask vulgar questions, call me degrading names, and troll me without thinking for a second about the impact of their words.”
“It’s disturbing how easily fake narratives are believed and how quickly empathy is replaced by judgment. This mindset is disgusting and absolutely unacceptable. No woman deserves to suffer for someone else’s cheap curiosity or baseless lies. -Anjali Arora,” she added.
In the caption, she wrote, “Main har din us jhooth ki saza bhugat rahi hoon jo maine kabhi kiya hi nahi.”
Earlier, Payal Gaming penned a powerful note on Instagram, calling the incident hurtful and dehumanising. She wrote on Instagram, “I never expected to have to speak publicly about something so personal and distressing. Over the past few days, content has been circulated online that falsely associates my name and image with a video currently being shared on digital platforms. I want to state this clearly and without ambiguity: the individual depicted in that video is not me, and it has no connection to my life, my choices, or my identity.”
She even said that she will take appropriate legal steps to address the misuse of her name and likeness.
