Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha, welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on October 19, 2025. After almost a month of anticipation, the couple has finally introduced their son to the world, giving fans the first glimpse and revealing his name.
Today, the couple shared a serene photograph of their little one along with a meaningful note revealing his name. Their caption read: “𝙅𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙮𝙖 𝙧ū𝙥𝙖𝙢, 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙨𝙮𝙖 𝙨𝙫𝙖𝙧ū𝙥𝙖𝙢 — 𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙖 𝙚𝙫𝙖 𝙉𝙚𝙚𝙧. Our hearts found peace in an eternal drop of life. We named him Neer — pure, divine, limitless.”

Meaning of the name ‘Neer’
‘Neer’ is a Sanskrit-Hindi name that translates to “water”, symbolising purity, life, flow, and one of the five essential elements. A source told ETimes that the name also carries a personal connection “Nee comes from Parineeti, and R is the initial of Raghav,” the source explained. “Together, they form Neer.”
Work front
On the professional side, Parineeti was last seen in Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila. She wrapped up filming for an upcoming web project before announcing her pregnancy. The actress recently finished shooting for her upcoming Netflix series, which is yet to be titled. The show has a strong ensemble cast that includes Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jennifer Winget, Harleen Sethi, Chaitannya Choudhry, Sumeet Vyas, and Anup Soni.
Raghav Chadha is a politician from the Aam Aadmi Party. He is currently a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, after being elected by the Punjab Legislative Assembly in 2022.
