Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s highly anticipated romance drama Param Sundari has completed its first week in theatres, marking the duo’s first on screen pairing. The film, which blends North and South Indian cultures, has been receiving positive responses for its heartfelt story and melodious songs.
With romance making a strong comeback in Hindi cinema, the film has witnessed steady growth over the weekend. However, the film’s momentum slowed down with a dip in numbers as the weekdays began.
Param Sundari Box Office Collection Day 7:
Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s Param Sundari wrapped up its first week with a total collection of Rs 39.85 crore. The film opened on Day 1 (Friday) with Rs 7.25 crore and saw a strong growth over the weekend, collecting Rs 9.25 crore on Day 2 (Saturday) and Rs 10.25 crore on Day 3 (Sunday), registering increases of 27.59% and 10.81% respectively. Despite the weekday slowdown, the film managed a decent first week performance.
While the numbers are decent, they remain modest compared to Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s Saiyaara, which raked in Rs 172.50 crore in its opening week.
