Smriti Mandhana and Palaash Muchhal’s wedding, which was set to take place on November 23, got indefinitely postponed. The news came out as a shock for fans, who were following their wedding and were excited for their new beginnings. The wedding was postponed due to Smriti’s father’s health issues, but Palaash’s infidelity rumours also surfaced on the internet.
While speaking to Filmfare, Palaash’s sister, who is also a famous singer, talked about how the families have been affected due to the delay of Palaash and Smriti’s wedding. “I think the families have been through a very, very tough time, and I would just want to repeat that we would like to believe in positivity in this time and spread positivity as much as we can. And stay strong… yeah,” she said.
She did not mention the reason behind the postponement of the wedding.

Earlier, Palak issued a statement on Instagram after the wedding delay. “Due to Smriti’s dad’s health, Smriti and Palash’s wedding has been put on hold. Would request all of you to respect the privacy of the family in this sensitive time,” she wrote on Instagram.
On November 23, Smriti’s father, Shriniwas Mandhana was immediately rushed to Sarvhit Hospital and Medial Research Centre after he showed signs of heart attack. A day later, Palaash was also admitted in hospital in Sangli due to sudden health complications.
“Palash is extremely attached to Smriti’s father… The two of them are even closer than Smriti is with him. When he fell ill, it was Palash, before Smriti, who decided that they should not go ahead with the wedding rituals until he gets better,” said Palash’s mother, Amita Muchhal as mentioned by Hindustan Times.
Smriti and Palaash are yet to officially react to the rumours around their wedding delay.
