Mithun Chakraborty, a veteran Bollywood actor and BJP leader, has found himself in hot water after making provocative remarks against Muslims at a BJP event in Kolkata. The event, held at the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC) in Salt Lake, sparked outrage, leading to legal action against Chakraborty. However, the situation has now taken a darker turn with Shahzad Bhatti, a Pakistani gangster based in Dubai, issuing open threats against Chakraborty on social media.
In the video, Shahzaad asked Mithun to apologise for his remarks within 10-15 days. He said, “Mithun saab, mera aapko ek mashfara hai. Aap 10-15 din me koi video apni jaari karo aur maafi maang lo. yahi behtar hai ki aap maang lo maafi. Aur aapka maafi maangna banta bhi hai. Aapne dil dukhaaya hai. Jitna aapko doosre mazhabo ke logo ne pyaar kara hai, utna hi musalmaano ne bhi izzat di hai. ((Mithun sir, I have a suggestion for you. Issue a video within 10-15 days and apologise for your remarks. It’s better for you to apologise. You owe an apology as you have hurt people’s feelings. While people of various faiths have shown affection, Muslims have also extended their love and respect to you equally.)
Further commenting on Mithun’s age, he added, “Waise bhi aap jis age me aap ho, us age me banda bakwaas boldeta hai aur baad me pachtaana padta hai ki maine kya kar dia hai.” (At your age, people often speak nonsense without thinking, and later regret it.”)
Who is Shahzan Bhatti?
Shahzad Bhatti is a close associate of Indian gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who has been in news for his rivalry with Salman Khan. Bishnoi has threatened Salman and demanded apology for killing black bucks. Recently, Salman’s close friend and NCP leader Baba Siddique was brutally murdered and Bishnoi gang claimed the responsibility for it. A message issued by an alleged member of Bishnoi gang blamed Salman Khan for Baba Siddique’s death.
Meanwhile, a video of Shahzad’s video call to Lawrence Bishnoi, who is locked in Sabarmati jail, went viral on social media.
Mithun Chakroborty’s Remark That Drew Flak
During a BJP event on October 27, Mithun Chakraborty made harsh comments against Muslim community, which, received backlash from people. In the presence of Home Minister Amit Shah, Mithun said in Hindi, “Ek din aaega jab hum tumko kaat kar Bhagirathi me nahi, kyuki Bhagirathi humaari maa hai,…tumko tumhari hi zameen me phekenge.”
