Pakistani Actor Fawad Khan And Vaani Kapoor’s Film ‘Abir Gulaal’ In Trouble? MNS Vows To Block Release In Maharashtra!

Actors Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor’s upcoming film Abir Gulaal has sparked major controversy in Maharashtra!

The much anticipated return of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan to Bollywood has encountered a roadblock as political opposition arises in Maharashtra. The teaser of Abir Gulaal, co starring Vaani Kapoor was released on Tuesday creating a buzz among fans. However, the Maharashtra Navinrman Sena (MNS) expressed strong opposition to the film’s release in Maharashtra.

MNS Declares Ban

According to reports by Dainik Bhaskar,  Mns Leader Ameya Khopkar stated that the party will not allow the film’s release in Maharashtra due to Fawad Khan’s involvement in the project. Ameya said , “We came to know about the release of this film only today when the makers announced it. But we are clearly saying that we will not allow this film to be released in Maharashtra, because it has the presence of a Pakistani action.”

What To Expect From Abir Gulaal?

Abir Gulaal is directed by Aarti S. Bagdi and produced by Indian Stories and A Richer Lens. This film will mark Fawad’s return to Hindi cinema after nearly a decade. The film is set to hit theaters on 9th May 2024. The movie explores the journey of two individuals who unintentionally help each other heal, with love blossoming as an unexpected consequence.
