Paatal Lok is gearing up for the release of its much anticipated second season and its trailer has already created a lot of buzz. Abhishek Banerjee gained immense praise for his incredible yet scary performance as hitman Hathoda Tyagi. In a recent interview, the actor talked about his character and if he will return in the new season.
While speaking at Indian Express’ SCREEN, Abhishek expressed his disappointment over not being a part of the show. He said, “It breaks my heart to know that Hathoda Tyagi won’t be a part of Paatal Lok 2, I wanted to play that character once again. I have not been lucky with that, even in Mirzapur my character died. Thankfully, Mirzapur film is coming, whenever Paatal Lok is made into a film, maybe Hathoda Tyagi will return.”
The previous season also starred Neeraj Kabi, Swastika Mukherjee, Niharika Lyra Dutt, and Richa Chaturvedi.
About Paatal Lok Season 2:
Jaideep Ahlawat will return as Hathiram Chaudhary with Gul Panag and Ishwak Singh also reprising their roles from the previous season. Meanwhile, Tillotama Shome is the new addition to the star cast.
Talking about the show, Jaideep said in a statement, “Paatal Lok Season 1 was a milestone in my career, and the overwhelming love it received still humbles me. Hathi Ram Chaudhary wasn’t just a character, it became a mirror reflecting the complexities of society and humanity, striking a chord with millions worldwide. With Season 2, we delve even deeper into Hathi Ram’s psyche. This season unravels the raw, vulnerable side of him as he grapples with new adversities, uncharted moral dilemmas, and his own shadows. It’s darker, grittier, and layered with human complexities that will keep audiences on the edge. The teaser and poster have already ignited intrigue, and I can’t wait for viewers to experience this thrilling chapter of his journey.”
