OTT Releases This Week: OTT platforms, including Netflix, Prime Video, Hotstar and others, release a new slate of movies and web series every week. As the new week has begun, these streaming giants will provide a variety of content in different genres and languages. Drama, comedy, and romance have dominated the projects releasing in the upcoming few days. 

From Akshay Kumar’s comedy-drama Khel Khel Mein to romance in ‘Gutar Gu 2’, take a look at the movies and series releasing on OTT platforms this week. 

Vedaa

‘Vedaa’ stars John Abraham, Sharvari, Abhishek Banerjee and Ashish Vidyarthi in the lead roles. The movie revolves around a young woman’s fight against the repressive system in society. The movie will release on Zee5 on October 10.

Khel Khel Mein

‘Khel Khel Mein’ stars Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Taapsee Pannu, Aditya Seal and Pragya Jaiswal. The movie revolves around a group of friends and their spouses, who find shocking secrets about each other after playing a game. The movie will release on October 9, 2024, on Netflix. 

Gutar Gu 2

‘Gutar Gu 2’ will focus on Ritu and Anuj’s relationship after Anuj gets accepted into a good engineering college. The series stars Ashlesha Thakur, Vishesh Bansal and Satish Ray in the lead roles. Its second season will release on Amazon Mini TV on October 11. 

Sarfira 

‘Sarfira’ revolves around a common man, who dreams of starting his own airline. The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles. It will reportedly release on Disney+ Hotstar on October 11. 

Vaazhai 

‘Vaazhai’ is set in 1998 in a small village in Tamil Nadu and revolves around the struggles of raw banana plantation workers. The movie will release on October 11 on Disney+ Hotstar. 

A Virtuous Business

‘A Virtuous Business’ is set in 1992 and revolves around four sisters, who start the sales of adult products. The series stars Kim So-yeon, Yeon Woo-jin, Kim Sung-ryung, Kim Sun-young, and Lee Se-hee in the lead roles. It will release on Netflix on October 12. 

Raat Jawaan Hai

‘Raat Jawaan Hai’ revolves around three friends, who struggle to adjust in their new lives after becoming parents. The series stars Barun Sobti, Anjali Anand and Priya Bapat in the lead roles. It will release on SonyLiv on October 11.
