New Delhi: RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, is the most anticipated film for the Oscars in 2023. Despite the fact that the film was not selected as the official entry for the Oscars, the crew is working hard to make it popular this year. Yes, RRR’s trip to the Oscars has begun. The crew has started a campaign for RRR and has submitted nominations for Academy Awards in a variety of categories.

The RRR crew has officially submitted nominations for the Oscars 2023 in categories ranging from Best Film to Best Actor to Best Visual Effects. Ram Charan and Jr NTR will also be nominated for Academy Awards in the Best Actor category. The Academy Awards, on the other hand, have yet to reply to the campaign and formally declare the Oscars 2023 nominees.

The makers took to Twitter and shared the same as they wrote, “It’s official: #RRRMovie’s FYC awards/Oscars campaign is going for Best Picture, @ssrajamouli for Best Director, Actor (both Jr NTR & Ram Charan), Screenplay, Original Song, Score, Editing, Cinematography, Sound, Production Design, VFX and more categories #RRRforOscars #OscaRRRs.”

Previously, Variance Films, the US distributor, told Variety that it has chosen to conduct a comprehensive campaign for SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus, RRR, urging the Academy’s 10,000 members to vote for the Telugu-language picture in all categories. Rajamouli recently discussed the possibility of his film winning an Oscar, saying, “Whether or not RRR wins an Oscar, my plans for the next picture remain same. The Oscar will increase morale for the (film’s) unit and the country, but it will not affect the way I operate.”
