Officer On Duty OTT Release Update: Malayalam movie ‘Officer On Duty’ has been receiving immense love from the audience and has also been showing impressive growth at the box office. Starring Kunchacko Boban and Priyamani in the lead roles, the movie focuses on a cop, who gets demoted and has to investigate some gruesome crime. There has also been a lot of speculations about the OTT release of Officer On Duty due to its success.

According to OTTplay, Officer On Duty will release on Netflix after its theatrical run. The official streaming date of Officer On Duty has not been announced yet.
The movie focuses on a policer officer Harishankar, who gets demoted to CI. Things take a turn after he receives a complaint about a man trying to mortgage an imitation gold chain. But this investigation uncovers some gruesome murders.

Apart from Kunchacko and Priyamani, the movie also stars Jagadish and Vishak Nair seen in the pivotal roles.
In an interview with OTTplay, Jagadish talked about his role in Officer On Duty. He shared, “Officer on Duty is the personal story of a policeman – a story of his duty and commitment. As a family man also, he has certain duties and responsibilities. At the same time, as a family man, how sincere can he be in his duty? My character in this film is Chandrababu, a KSRTC bus conductor, who has a certain stance. Due to some circumstances, the police officer and this conductor cross paths. Is my character innocent in this? Am I being framed or am I really involved in the crime? All this will be explored in the story.”
Talking about his experience of working with Kunchacko Boban, he added, “I transitioned into serious roles in recent years and he has always stood by me. He called and appreciated my performance in Rorschach, Purusha Pretham and Falimy. When I saw the performance of Chackochan (Kunchacko Boban) in Nna Thaan Case Kodu and Nayattu, I also spoke to him. So, there is always a mutual appreciation.”
On the work front, Kunchacko Boban was last seen in Bougainvillea. He will next appear in a movie with Mahesh Narayanan.
