Anurag Kashyap has returned as a director on the big screen with the movie ‘Nishaanchi’. The movie is headlined by debutant Aaishvary Thackeray, who has played a double role alongside Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Kumud Mishra. ‘Nishaanchi’ focuses on two brothers, who are identical twins but have different personalities. Their journey goes through crime into a deeper story of human nature and its results.
Nishaanchi box office collection day 1:
According to the website Sacnilk, Nishaanchi collected Rs 25 lakh on day 1. The movie has been struggling to attract more audience in theatres due to its clash with Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s ‘Jolly LLB 3’.
Nishaanchi features two newcomers- Vedita Pinto and Aaishvary Thackeray. Vedika penned a sweet note before the film’s release and expressed her gratitude. She wrote, “It’s Nishaanchi day. Spent three years dreaming about this day only to be here today totally consumed with gratitude and love for the journey it has been and the relationships I’ve made through it all. Nishaanchi really is a labour of love and some of the literal best people I know have given this project everything they had. Our baby now belongs to the audience, please show us some love and go watch it on the big screen!”

The official description by Nishaanchi reads, “Amazon MGM Studios India has announced its theatrical movie Nishaanchi, which is set to premiere on September 19. The movie is produced by Ajay Rai and Ranjan Singh under Jar Pictures, in association with Flip Films. It is written by Prasoon Mishra, Ranjan Chandel and Anurag Kashyap.
