Nayanthara On Her Bold Open Letter To Dhanush: ‘Fear Comes Only When You’re Hiding The Truth’

Nayanthara candidly explains her reasons for writing a scathing open letter to Dhanush, emphasizing courage and truth in addressing the controversy surrounding her Netflix documentary.

Nayanthara has broken her silence regarding her scathing open letter to Dhanush over his lawsuit concerning the unauthorized use of a clip from his 2015 production, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, in her Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale. Actor Responds To Allegations Of Publicity Stunt

Addressing allegations of using the controversy for publicity, Nayanthara stated, “Courage comes from truth. If I didn’t speak out when things went too far, no one would have the courage to stand up for themselves. This wasn’t about tarnishing anyone’s image or promoting my documentary.” She clarified that her open letter was a response to what she felt was Dhanush blowing the issue out of proportion.

The documentary, she explained, focuses on personal stories rather than professional successes or failures. Nayanthara revealed that the segment from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan she sought to include featured just four lines that resonated with her life, love, and family. Despite attempts to contact Dhanush through his manager to resolve the matter amicably, her efforts were unsuccessful.

Details Behind-The-Scenes Footage Use

She added that the footage ultimately used in the documentary was a fleeting behind-the-scenes shot, which she argued wasn’t covered under standard contractual agreements at the time. Nayanthara expressed disappointment over the escalation of the issue and described Dhanush’s response as unfair.
