New Delhi: The teaser of Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale was dropped on Saturday, giving us a glimpse into her relationship with filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, their union, and more about their life.

In the teaser, we can hear Vignesh fielding the question ‘why Nayanthara?’ with wit and charm. He says “Angelina Jolie also asked but she is not a person from South India”. Further, he adds, “More than Nayanthara the actress, she is a wonder human being.” Speaking of her equation with Vignesh, Nayanthara says “I don’t understand the tags. I don’t understand the title. When it all started I had no idea about how it would be. I was not a filmy kid. Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale, directed by Gautam Vasudev Menon, is a documentary that will take viewers on a trip through how Nayan and Vignesh Shivan met. The much anticipated teaser for the show has finally been revealed, and it is much more than just the tale of their wedding.

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan tied the knot in a dreamy wedding ceremony in Chennai on June 9 after courting for seven years. It was an intimate wedding with only their close friends and family in attendance. Among various high-profile guests who attended the wedding, actor Shah Rukh Khan was among the first few to attend the ceremony. Nayanthara makes her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh in Atlee’s Jawan, which is currently being filmed.
