The auspicious festival of Navratri has finally arrived but it will be a busy time for actress Celesti Bairagey. In an exclusive chat with News24, Celesti shares how she celebrates Navratri every year despite her busy schedule and how Durga Maa inspires her to face difficult situations in the industry.
While talking about keeping the spirit of Navratri alive amid busy shoots, Celesti shares that she makes sure to enjoy small moments in this festival season. The actress says, “It’s definitely tough with the busy shoots, but I make it a point to carve out moments for myself during Navratri. Whether it’s only dancing for a few minutes when I hear garba music, or just listening to some garba songs between takes makes me feel like I’m still part of it. it’s about enjoying those small, meaningful moments.”
The ‘Rajjo’ star also fasts during Navratri and reveals she loves the special dishes being made in the festival. “I try to follow the fast as much as I can! It’s more about discipline and focus for me than the diet itself. Plus, I really love the special dishes we get to eat during Navratri—the sabudana khichdi is my absolute favourite!,” she adds.
As the actors in the industry can face many challenges, Celesti shares how she takes inspiration from Goddess Durga to overcome fears. She says, “In this industry, I’ve faced moments that tested my confidence—doubts about whether I’m good enough or wondering if I’ll be able to handle the pressure. But watching those idols of Durga Maa, standing tall and powerful, reminds me of my own strength. It’s like a reminder that no matter how tough things get, there is always a way to rise above. That belief keeps me going, helping me overcome all the fears and negativity.”
