Amandeep Sidhu is currently one of the busiest actresses in the television industry with back-to-back shows. As the festivities have officially kickstarted, her schedule is quite packed up due to shooting commitments. In an exclusive interview with News24, Amandeep tells us how she will celebrate her Navratri this year. She also praises producers Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta for creating a homely environment on the set of her show ‘Badall Pe Paon Hai’.
Revealing how Ravi and Sargun celebrate festivities on set, Amandeep shares, “The energy of the festival really fuels me, whether I’m on set or at home. To be honest I can vouch on one thing that Ravi sir and Sargun ma’am make sure that no matter what festival it is the whole set is lit up, decorated and they make sure the whole cast and crew is involved in the festivities, which is a really wholesome thing and for me Home away from home becomes real.”
Even though Amandeep is away from her home, she follows rituals on every Navratri to stay connected to her roots. The ‘Chashni’ star tells us, “Yes, definitely. Every year during Navratri, I make sure to do the puja and follow the fasting rituals that my family has been doing for generations if at all possible. It’s a way for me to stay connected to my roots and traditions.”
The actress also recalls the time when she used to go to the Garba nights with her family and friends. Calling it ‘one of her favourite memories’, Amandeep adds, “I used to love dressing up in traditional outfits and dancing with my cousins. The excitement, the vibrant colours, and the energy of those nights are something I’ll never forget. It’s a memory that makes Navratri even more special for me.”
