And now, there is a boycott call against his new film, Akhanda 2, which is scheduled for release on December 5.

A prominent, popular Telugu actor says Balakrishna is in the habit of shooting his mouth off. “He is an incorrigible foot-in-the-mouth specialist. He speaks disrespectfully of everyone, man, woman, politician…He should be prohibited from speaking in public. More than others, he is a menace to himself.”

As far as the fate of Akhanda 2 is concerned, the widespread opinion is that Balakrishna’s most recent gaffe won’t be allowed to impact the film.

“It is not just Balakrishna. The film involves and impacts the careers of many. When he shoots his mouth off, he endangers the prospects of the whole team. He is being persuaded to apologise, and he will,” says the actor who has been in several recent popular films.
