Ever since director Nag Ashwin and Prabha unveiled the unique Bujji, Kalki 2898 AD-adapted vehicle at an event in Hyderabad last week, they have been promoting it through various means. When Autocar reviewed the car, it was also tested by actor Naga Chaitanya and F1 driver Narain Karthikeyan. Now, Nag is extending a special invitation to Tesla founder Elon Musk to experience the innovative Bujji for himself.
‘It’s a 6-ton beast’
After introducing Bujji to Hyderabad, Nag took the vehicle to Chennai where it was driven on the streets. In response to the same video on X (formerly Twitter), the director made a personal invitation to Elon Musk, suggesting a possible collaboration between Bujj and his Cybertruck: “Dear @elonmusk, sir… We invite you to see and drive our #Bujj.”
He added, “It’s a 6-tonne beast, #madeinindia fully electric and engineered. And I dare say it will make a great photoshoot with your cyber truck (would be a sight to see them driving together). Bujji’s official account retweeted Nag and wrote:” Hello @elonmusk. #BujjiCallingElonMusk.

Bujji Introduction
Nag first released a behind-the-scenes video to introduce the “brain” of Bujji, a robot that grows restless and impatient as the team builds its “body.” Soon, this three-wheeler was unveiled to the press and select public at an event in Hyderabad. Bujji is voiced by Keerthy Suresh and is the sidekick of Prabhas’ character Bhairava in Kalkis 2898 AD. A teaser was also released to introduce the vehicle.
Anand Mahindra was instrumental in building the vehicle, giving a shout-out to Nag after introducing Bujji. “Some really fun things are happening with X… We are so proud of @nagashwin7 and his filmmakers for not being afraid to think big… and I mean big. Our team at Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai helped Kalki’s team realize their vision of a futuristic vehicle, simulating electrocentrality, architecture, and efficiency”, he wrote.
