‘Naagin’, a popular supernatural show on Indian television, is gearing up to return with its 7th season. In the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19, producer Ektaa Kapoor announced the name of the actress who will lead ‘Naagin 7’. It is none other than Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, who was seen in Bigg Boss 16.
Ektaa Kapoor confirmed that Priyanka Chahar Choudhary is the new Naagin and fans couldn’t be more excited.
Priyanka expressed her gratitude towards Ektaa Kapoor and talked about the legacy of Naagin. “I still remember the moment on ‘Bigg Boss 16’ when Ekta ma’am said she found her next Naagin, and to have her keep that promise and choose me for this legacy is truly an honour. I’ve always believed that some roles demand an actor to be more than a character; they challenge your strength, your range, and your spirit,” she said as quoted by News18.
She added, “Taking charge of the ‘Naagin’ universe is a huge responsibility, and I will do everything in my power to uphold it. To be revealed as Naagin in front of Salman sir and millions of viewers feels nothing short of destiny’s plan. I’m super grateful to Colors and Balaji Telefilms for trusting me with this throne, and for giving me a story that’s truly going down in hiss-tory as pure serpentainment!”
As per other reports, Bigg Boss 17’s Avinash Mirsha will be seen as the male lead in ‘Naagin 7’. But while speaking to Telly Talk India, he denied the rumours and revealed that he has not been approached for the show.
For the unversed, all seasons of ‘Naagin’ have been successful. The first two seasons starred Mouni Roy and Adaa Khan in the lead roles. Arjun Bijlani and Karanvir Bohra were the male leads in seasons one and two, respectively.
