‘Naagin’, a popular supernatural show on Indian television, is gearing up to return with its 7th season. The makers have officially announced the show, but have yet to reveal more details about it. As per the latest buzz, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary will lead ‘Naagin 7’. The show was announced during the premiere of ‘Bigg Boss 19’.
According to a report by ABP’s Saas Bahu Aur Saazish (SBS), Bigg Boss 16’s Priyanka Chahar Choudhary has been roped in as the new Naagin in ‘Naagin Season 7’. The makers are yet to officially comment on these reports. Earlier, the names of Chaahat Pandey and Isha Malviya were also making rounds on social media as contenders for the new Naagin.
As per other reports, Bigg Boss 17’s Avinash Mirsha will be seen as the male lead in ‘Naagin 7’. But while speaking to Telly Talk India, he denied the rumours and revealed that he has not been approached for the show.
Producer Ektkaa Kapoor also dropped a hint about the casting of ‘Naagin 7’. While sitting with her team, she said in a video, “Sitting with my Kyonki team, Tanu, Siddharth, and discussing Tanu’s favourite topic – Who will be Nagin? Okay, now let me give you some hints. There are going to be two Nagins. One is Tanu; one more is being cast. We are looking at ‘Nag Devs’ also.”
For the unversed, all seasons of ‘Naagin’ have been successful. The first two seasons starred Mouni Roy and Adaa Khan in the lead roles. Arjun Bijlani and Karanvir Bohra were the male leads in seasons one and two, respectively.
The third season starred Surbhi Jyoti, Pearl V Puri and Anita Hassanandani in the lead. ‘Naagin 4’ featured Nia Sharma, Vijayendra Kumeria, Jasmin Bhasin, Anita Hassanandani and Rashami Desai.
‘Naagin 5’ had Surbhi Chandna, Sharad Malhotra and Mohit Sehgal in the lead roles. ‘Naagin 6’, which was also one of the longest seasons, featured Tejasswi Prakash, Simba Nagpal, Mahek Chahal, Pratik Sehajpal, Shrey Mittal and Vatsal Sheth in lead roles.
