Irrfan Khan’s son, Babil Khan, stepped away from the limelight and social media for a while, but he’s now back with a heartfelt Instagram post. The actor shared a series of new photos along with an emotional poem reflecting on his battle with depression, panic, and insomnia, admitting that he needed time to heal.
In the photos, Babil is seen in a red sweater, holding a flower between his teeth, marking his first post since May 26. The caption featured his raw poem that read in part:
“Didn’t mean to eavesdrop, This glass house has lean walls. I wore my heart on my sleeves, now I have blood soaked t-shirts I needed time to heal, My demons left me with deep cuts. insomnia and panic had me making wired confessions, I was crying out for help, I couldn’t stifle my expression, the toll was heavy on my health, my soul was tired of repression, “you were fighting with your girl while I was fighting my depression…wait..”

His comeback comes months after his viral breakdown video in May, where he had expressed frustration with the film industry, saying, “Bollywood is so f****, Bollywood is so rude.” He had also mentioned actors like Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Raghav Juyal, among others. Later, Babil clarified that the video was misinterpreted, explaining that he was actually expressing support for the artists he named.
Earlier this year, Babil also parted ways with director Sai Rajesh, citing “unforeseen circumstances,” and said he needed time to focus on his mental health.
On October 7, Babil made his first public appearance at the Mumbai airport. Fans were quick to react to the viral clip of his airport sighting, calling it “good to see him back” and describing it as a “calm comeback.”
