‘My Sister Will Kill Me…’, Karan Johar Reveals How Salman Said Yes To ‘KKHH’, Announces Next Project On Superstar’s Birthday

Johar reminisced about the time when Salman played a pivotal role in his directorial debut, "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai."

Salman Khan is currently celebrating his 58th birthday, receiving warm wishes from various celebrities. Notable figures such as Riteish Deshmukh, Neha Dhupia, Ramesh Taurani, and others have expressed their affection for the superstar. Joining the well-wishers, Karan Johar took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message for Salman. Johar reminisced about the time when Salman played a pivotal role in his directorial debut, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.” Additionally, he excitedly revealed that after 25 years since their first collaboration, he and Salman are set to work together once again.

Salman Khan portrayed the character Aman in the iconic film “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,” which also starred Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Kajol. Karan Johar, the director of the film, shared a nostalgic post on his Instagram, featuring a picture of Salman’s character from the movie. In his caption, Johar reflected on how, 25 years ago, he found himself at a party feeling lost and confused. At that moment, Salman Khan, a massive movie star, approached him and inquired about his predicament. Johar recounted how he had approached several actors for a role, only to be politely rejected. It was then that the superstar, who happened to be the brother of someone close to Johar, graciously offered to hear the script the next day. This marked the beginning of Salman’s involvement in “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” and their collaborative journey in the world of cinema.

While writing this gratitude post Karan also announced their next collaboeration after 25 years. Continuing the post he wrote, “Happy birthday Salman ! So much love and respect for you always …Also 25 years later we will finally have a story to tell again… not saying any more than that happy happy birthday,”

As reported by Pinkvilla, the high-budget action film will be directed by Vishnuvardhan, titled “The Bull.” Filming is scheduled to commence in February 2024, and there are indications that the movie might hit theaters on Eid 2025. The precise release date, however, will be finalized once the film enters production.
