Disney has officially announced the OTT release date for Mufasa: The Lion King, one of its biggest releases of the 2024 holiday season. Directed by Barry Jenkins, this film tells about the story of a lost cub who rises to become the king of the ‘Pride Lands’.
When & Where To Watch Mufasa
The movie hit theaters 20th December 2024 and now Mufasa: The Lion King is all set to make its OTT debut on JioHotstar. The film will be available in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
JioHotstar confirmed the release date with a social media post that reads: “It’s time to experience the legend of Mufasa. #Mufasa: The Lion King, coming to #JioHotstar on March 26 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.”

Star-Studded Voice Cast
The Hindi version of this features Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, along with his sons Aryan and AbRam Khan who gave their voices to key characters.
However, The international voice cast includes:

- Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Taka
- Beyoncé as Nala
- Donald Glover as Simba
- Seth Rogen & Billy Eichner as Timon and Pumbaa
- Mads Mikkelsen as the film’s antagonist
