The highly-anticipated adventure reality show, MTV Roadies, is back for its 20th season, and the excitement is palpable. The first episode aired on January 11, 2025, and has already raised the bar for an action-packed season.

Rannvijay Singha is back as the host, joined by his panel of gang leaders, including Prince Narula, Neha Dupia, Rhea Chakraborty and Elvish Yadav. Each leader will head their own team, navigating through a series of challenging tasks that will test contestants’ physical and mental strength.

Emotional Promo Reveals Contestant’s Transformation Journey

Ahead of the new episode, the makers released a promo on social media, showcasing a contestant’s emotional transformation journey. The contestant revealed that he weighed 145 kg four years back but lost a significant amount of weight after his father’s passing. The emotional experience of not being able to perform his father’s last rites due to his obesity sparked a realization, leading him to shed the extra kilos and get back in shape.

“Jo loose skin dikh rahi hai aapko, wo mere 4 saal ki mehnat hai Roadies ke liye. I used to be 145 kgs. ye transformation maine apne papa ke liye kara. Jab qabar (grave) mein utaarte hain, toh main obesity ke wajah se utar nahi saka. In fact I almost dropped him by mistake. Isse pehle bi jab father the, tab maine unse bet lagaaya tha ki I will lose it all. (“The loose skin you see is the result of my 4 years of hard work for Roadies. I used to weigh 145 kgs. I made this transformation for my father. When we were burying him, I couldn’t lift him properly because of my obesity, and I almost dropped him by mistake. Even before that, when my father was alive, I had promised him that I would lose all the excess weight and I did it.,” he shared.)
