Sunday morning turned out to be a surprise. On September 7, R. Madhavan shared a teaser of Vasan Bala’s The Chase on social media. What’s more, it also featured MS Dhoni as a task force officer.
Madhavan didn’t clarify if the project is a film, a series or something else. While not much information has been revealed yet, fans are increasingly wondering has MS Dhoni really made his full-fledged acting debut with R. Madhavan in Vasan Bala’s The Chase?
The teaser shows Madhavan and Dhoni as “two fighters” embarking on “one mission”, wearing the uniform of a task force officer.
Sharing the clip, Madhavan wrote:
“One mission. Two fighters. Buckle up – a wild, explosive chase begins.”
As anticipated, the teaser went viral in minutes with fans thrilled to see Dhoni in what could be his first real acting role. Dhoni has starred in several advertisements and made a cameo in the Tamil movie GOAT, but this is unquestionably his biggest performance onscreen to this point.
Meanwhile, R Madhavan continues to excel in the acting realm. He was recently in Aap Jaisa Koi streaming on Netflix alongside Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film discussed a lot of subjects regarding love, gender roles and social conditioning. Madhavan in this movie played a 42-year-old Sanskrit teacher who falls for a younger, free-spirited French teacher. The plot would argue against the traditionalist ideals on relationships and love as equals.
With The Chase teaser dropping such a shocking twist, all eyes now turn to this collaboration and partnership involving Vasan Bala, R Madhavan, and MS Dhoni. Fans are ready for more information ahead.
