She adores her children, Shubh and Shuchi. Then one terrible day, two ladies kidnap her children. She later hears that the government has taken the children away from her after determining that the Chatterjees are unable to appropriately care for the children.

The shortcoming is actually due to Norwegian officials’ ignorance of Indian culture.
