In a series of Instagram stories, he shared “The most testing time of my life makes for the best comedy, I’ll see you on tour.”

About The Controversy:

YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani and social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija appeared on Samay’s dark humour show India’s Got Latent as guests. The backlash was caused due to Ranveer’s question for one contestant as he said, “Watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life. Or would you join in once and stop it forever?” The uproar was also caused due to Apoorva’s comments on the show.

These comments caused huge backlash, which led to many people demanding ban of India’s Got Latent and Ranveer’s podcasts. The controversy escalated when the complaint were also filed with the Mumbai Commissioner and Maharashtra Women’s Commission for allegedly using abusive language on the show.

All Indian Cine Workers’ Associations (AICWA) wrote a letter to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, demanding a ban on ‘India’s Got Latent’ and legal action against its creators.
