Mohanlal’s upcoming film, L2: Empuraan, has generated immense excitement among fans. Any update about the film quickly trends, highlighting the anticipation surrounding its release. On Tuesday, 25 February, Mohanlal introduced the third character from the film, revealing Abhimanyu Singh as Balraj.

The newly released poster presents a powerful image of Abhimanyu Singh as Balraj. Seated like a king with a rifle in one hand, he stares intently into the camera, while flames engulf the background, adding to the intense atmosphere.
Speaking about his character, Abhimanyu told IANS, “I play Balraj in L2: Empuraan: Lucifer 2. Balraj is a complex character with many layers. As the story unfolds, he undergoes a major transformation, which made playing him even more exciting.”

The film brings together an impressive ensemble cast. Mohanlal reunites with Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is both directing and acting in the film. Adding to the global scale of the project, Game of Thrones actor Jerome Flynn has also joined the cast.

Mohanlal recently spoke about working with Sukumaran again, telling PTI, “This is my third film with him. Bro Daddy was different from Lucifer, but he is a keen scriptwriter and a sensitive director. He focuses on acting and is fully dedicated to the film.”
He also hinted at the film’s action sequences and future instalments, adding, “This film demands action. I have done many action films, but this one is different. It’s a trilogy, and we still have one more chapter to go.”

For those unfamiliar, L2: Empuraan is the sequel to Mohanlal’s 2019 hit Lucifer. The film also features Tovino Thomas and Manju Warrier in key roles. Scheduled for release on 27 March, it will be available in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
