Missing Taarak Mehta Actor Gurucharan Singh Returns Home After Nearly A Month

Hargit Singh, his father, filed a missing person report on April 26, and an FIR was lodged under Section 365 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Police also noted that Singh's financial situation was precarious due to several loans and outstanding dues.

Gurucharan Singh, well-known for his portrayal of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular TV series ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, who had been missing since April 22, has returned home on Friday, according to the police.

The Delhi Police had registered a kidnapping case and were conducting an investigation to locate the actor. According to police, Singh informed the officials during questioning that he had abandoned his worldly life and embarked on a religious journey.

In recent days, he visited Gurudwaras in several cities, including Amritsar and Ludhiana, but eventually decided to return home, according to the police.

On April 22, the Taarak Mehta actor was scheduled to fly to Mumbai from Delhi but did not board the flight and went missing. His phone remained active until April 24, during which several transactions were made, as revealed by a police investigation. CCTV footage from the day he went missing showed the actor walking with a bag on his back.

His father, Hargit Singh, filed a missing person report on April 26, and an FIR was registered under Section 365 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). During the investigation, a police officer noted that Singh’s financial condition was not stable, as he had several loans and outstanding dues.

The police also discovered that Singh was a follower of a sect that practices meditation and had shown interest in going to the Himalayas for meditation.
