Mirzapur The Film Announcement: ‘Mirzapur’ is one of the most popular web series in India and has gained cult classic status ever since its release. Its third season was released in July 2024 but received criticism for its storyline. Despite mixed reactions, the makers of ‘Mirzapur’ have now announced a movie and also shared an intriguing announcement video. Beloved character Munna Bhaiya, played by Divyenndu, will also return after he was killed in the second season.

Announcing the Mirzapur The Film, the makers wrote, “Ab bhaukaal bhi bada hoga, aur parda bhi. #MirzapurTheFilm, coming soon.”
Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi, who play Guddu Pandit and Kaleen Bhaiya in the series, will also be seen in the movie. Abhishek Banerjee, who was seen as Subodh aka Compounder in the first season, will also return to the franchise.
‘Mirzapur’ revolves around Akhandanand Tripathi, who is the mafia boss of the city of Mirzapur. His son, Munna, wants to take thrown even though he is not worthy. Things take a turn when they face new rivals in the form of brothers, Guddu and Bablu.

The first season starred Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu Sharma, Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Lilliput, Anjum Sharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Anangsha Biswas and Neha Sargam joined the cast in the second season.
All three seasons of ‘Mirzapur’ are streaming on Prime Video.
