Singer-turned-producer Mika Singh in a recent interview with Pinkvilla expressed his unpleasant experience about working with Bipasha Basu on the MX Original crime thriller “Dangerous” in 2020. He further elaborated how he envisioned making a ₹4 crore film with a modest budget to showcase his music but then that budget escalated to ₹14 crore after Bipasha joined.
Mika expressed his bummer experience when he wanted to cast another actress but Bipasha insisted on participating “I was considering another actress, but she wanted to be a part of it. The shoot was set in London, and the budget increased from ₹4 crore to ₹14 crore. The drama created by Bipasha ensured that I would always regret getting into production. It was a team she was comfortable with, and they were playing a couple, who had to feature in kissing scenes. Suddenly, she was throwing tantrums saying she won’t do this or she won’t do that.”

Mika added that the post-production period was challenging because the dubbing sessions kept being postponed due to “someone constantly having a sore throat, and if Bipasha is sick at one time, Karan gets sick another time.”
Karan Singh Grover and Bipasha Basu met while filming “Alone” in 2015, got married in 2016, and welcomed their daughter Devi in 2022. Bipasha has not been seen on screen in five years, to which Mika expressed his frustration: “Why do you think they’re out of work now? God is watching everything.”
