Metro In Dino Box Office Collection Day 2: Anurag Basu’s Film Sees Big Jump, Here’s How Much It Earned!

Metro In Dino has finally been released in theatres after making much hype ever since announcement. The movie features an ensemble star cast as their stories take different routes. It features Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripahti, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher and Saswata Chatterjee in the lead roles. Metro In Dino started on a decent note at the box office.

Anurag Basu’s Metro… In Dino witnessed a strong upward trend at the box office on its second day. According to the website Sacnilk, Metro In Dino collected Rs 6 crore on day 2, as per early estimates. After opening with Rs 3.5 crore on its first Friday, the film saw a significant 71.43% jump in collections on Saturday. This takes the film’s total collection to Rs 9.5 crore in just two days.

In an interview with Filmfare, Aditya Riy Kapur shared why he chose to work with Anurag Basu for his next project. He said, “With Dada, everything and every day is a discovery, every day is a fun challenge. It is unpredictable, you don’t know what new idea he is gonna throw your way and that’s the most fun part of the process.”

He earlier worked with the filmmaker in the 2020 film ‘Ludo’.

Anurag Basu’s 2007 film ‘Life In A Metro’ also focused on the theme of complicated love in urban cities. The movie starred Dharmendra, Nafisa Ali, Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, and Sharman Joshi in lead roles.
