Melania Trump’s journey from model to actress and producer has now reached a new stage. First Lady Melania Trump has released the trailer for her film, “MELANIA,” which is rapidly gaining attention worldwide. The film is directed by Brett Ratner. It will be released in theaters on January 30, 2026.
The film takes viewers to the time before Donald Trump’s inauguration for his second term. The trailer shows Melania Trump talking to Donald Trump on the phone from a gilded bathroom. She congratulates him on becoming president, and when he asks if she saw anything, Melania says she didn’t and will look it up on the news.
The trailer invites viewers to “witness history in the making” and shows Melania’s journey as she has “20 Days to Become First Lady of the United States of America.”

The film will be shown in theaters in several countries, including North America, South America, Asia, Europe, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates. Following its theatrical release, the film will be streamed on Prime Video. According to reports, Amazon paid $40 million for the streaming rights.
Additionally, Amazon will release a documentary related to the film in the coming months.
Melania Trump has mostly stayed out of the public eye during her time as First Lady, which is why people expected more from her if there is a second term. Social media users have given mixed reaction to the trailer.
“This will go down in history as one of the scariest horror movies of all time,” wrote a person on X.
“A “real” bwhahahaha A “fake” Hollywood blockbuster like she’s running the country behind the scenes. I guess Trump taking naps left a lot of work for someone!,” added another.
“I wouldn’t pay a plugged nickel to view the ‘Melania’ movie in theatres and don’t intend to watch it through streaming following its flop at the box office,” claimed one.
“Even with the best editors in Hollywood, they still couldn’t make her speak in English” mocked an X user.
“Oh cool, I didn’t realize they were making a Blair Witch Project sequel” trolled another.
At a time when Americans are dealing with serious political, economic, and personal problems, many felt that promoting a movie like project about a First Lady who hasn’t connected much with the public was poorly timed, leading to even more criticism online.
