‘Bigg Boss 19’ is all set to air on August 24, and there has been a lot of buzz around its contestants. It is rumoured that popular singer-composer Amaal Mallik will be seen inside the Bigg Boss house. A new promo was unveiled by the makers recently, which hinted at Amaal’s entry. Apart from creating chartbuster songs, Amaal’s personal life has also been a topic of discussion online.

Amaal Mallik is a popular music director, composer, singer and lyricist in the Indian music industry. He is the son of composer Daboo Mallik, grandson of the late veteran music composer Sardar Mallik, and brother of singer Armaan Mallik. He made his debut as a composer in 2014 by creating three songs for Salman Khan’s film ‘Jai Ho’.
After ‘Jai Ho’, he worked on the films ‘Khoobsurat’, ‘Roy’, ‘Ek Paheli Leela’, ‘Hero’, ‘Hate Story 3’, ‘Airlift’, ‘Sanam Re’, ‘Kapoor & Sons’, ‘Baaghi’, ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, ‘Baar Baar Dekho’, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’, ‘Kabir Singh’ and most recently ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.
Talking about his personal life, Amaal mostly kept it away from the limelight. However, in March 2025, he revealed that he had broken ties with his family, except for his brother Armaan. He revealed that he is struggling with clinical depression and has been robbed of his peace, drained emotionally and financially. Amaal later deleted the post and requested the media not to sensationalise his family matter.
Apart from Amaal Mallik, Gaurav Khanna, Ashnoor Kaur, Awez Darbar, Nagma Mirajker, Zeeshan Qadri, Basheer Ali, Abhishek Bajaj, Tanya Mittal, Atul Kishan, Kunicka Sadanand, Nataila Poland, Pranit More, Neelam Giri, Nehal Chudasama, Mridul Tiwari and Shehbaz Badesha are rumoured to enter the house.
This year, the theme of ‘Bigg Boss 19’ is ‘gharwaalon ki sarkaar’ as the house will have democracy. However, the makers have not revealed how this theme is going to play out in the show. An assembly room has been included in the house as well.
Salman Khan is all set to return as the host of ‘Bigg Boss 19′. All the seasons of ‘Bigg Boss’ usually aired for three months, but this season is expected to expand to five months. According to a report by SCREEN, the Sikandar star will host ‘Bigg Boss 19’ only for three months, and celebrities like Karan Johar, Farah Khan, and Anil Kapoor are likely to step in later. Talking about the premiere, a few politicians will reportedly join the special segment.
