Popular actor-model Mannara Chopra is not having a very good time as she lost her beloved father, Raman Rai Handa on June 16, 2025, in Mumbai. His funeral was held on Wednesday, June 18. A prayer ceremony was conducted on June 19 at a Gurudwara, where her immediate friends and family came to support Mannara.
Other Bigg Boss housemates Abhishek Kumar, Sara Arfeen Khan and Khanzaadi arrived to mourn and support Mannara in this sorrowful moment. At the Gurudwara, they were spotted at various times, and they would walk in without taking pictures or talking to the media. Their sole purpose was just to be with Mannara.

Mannara previously revealed the devastating news in her Instagram Story. She wrote, “With profound grief and sorrow we inform the sad demise of our loving father who left us for his heavenly abode on 16/06/2025. He was the pillar of strength for our family.”
Following the tragic news, Mannara was seen coming back to Mumbai together with her sister Mitali. The sisters looked upset at the airport.
Actor Priyanka Chopra, who is an international star and Mannara’s cousin, also shared her sadness. On Instagram, she wrote on her story, “You’ll always be in our hearts. Rest easy Raman uncle (fufaji). Om Shanti.”
Another cousin of Mannara, actress Meera Chopra, also had a word to say about the loss in an event. According to her, she informed Instant Bollywood, “Yes, I just got to know about the news a few minutes ago when I entered the event. Vicky (Jain) told me about his demise. I knew he was admitted to the hospital, but Vicky shared the news about his demise. He was fine, so I don’t know what exactly happened. I will go after this and find out. It is very sad. I think losing a parent – nothing can be worse than that. I know Mannara, Mitali dono use bahot close thi. It was a very close-knit family, do betiyan thi and mom and dad. It’s very sad.”
Raman Rai Handa has a wife, Kamini Chopra Handa and two daughters Mannara and Mitali. He was a lawyer in the Delhi High Court. It has been reported that he was not feeling well even a few days before his death. In his last days, he lived in Mumbai with his loved ones. Both the Handa and Chopra families have been close to each other. Mannara and Priyanka have been seen together many times, during celebrations and get-togethers of the family.
